NEW JERSEY HUMANE SOCIETY
PROTECT AND RESCUE
The
NJ
Humane
Society
is
a
no-kill
shelter
dedicated
to
protecting
and
rescuing
stray
and
domesticated
animals
across
Hudson
County
and
Northern
New
Jersey,
and
to
finding
good,
safe,
loving
homes
for
every
animal
in
our
care.
MEET THE ANIMALS WAITING FOR A HOME
Adopting
from
us
is
three
steps.
Schedule
a
visit
and
meet
the
dogs
and
cats
in
our
care,
complete
the
adoption
application
with
our
team,
and
take
your
new
friend
home.
Animals
arrive
with
us
every
week,
so
the
best
way
to
see
who
is
here
right
now
is
our
Facebook
and
Instagram,
where
we
post
each
one
as
they
arrive.
We
post
lost
dogs
and
cats
there
too,
so
owners
can
identify
and
claim
them.
What dogs do you have right now?
Do you have cats looking for homes?
How does adopting work?
Can I come and meet the animals?
What happens at an adoption visit?
How long does adoption take?
ANIMAL CONTROL AND RESCUE
Our
director,
Alexander
Saavedra,
has
over
35
years
of
criminal,
civil
and
regulatory
investigative
experience,
and
has
conducted
animal
cruelty
investigations
throughout
his
career.
Ask
us
anything
about
what
we
handle
across
the
community.
There is a stray dog in my street, can you help?
Do you investigate animal cruelty?
Can you remove wildlife from my house?
I have lost my dog, what should I do?
Do you respond to emergencies?
Can you help with feral cats?
LOW COST VETERINARY CARE
We
keep
veterinary
care
affordable
for
our
community,
so
that
cost
is
not
the
reason
an
animal
goes
without
it.
How much is spay and neuter?
Do you give rabies vaccinations?
Can you microchip my pet?
What veterinary services do you offer?
Can I book my dog in this week?
EVERY PENNY MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Every
donation
goes
directly
towards
our
expansion
project
and
the
care
of
the
animals
in
our
shelter
while
they
wait
for
a
home.
You
can
give
online,
post
a
cheque,
drop
off
supplies,
or
donate
a
vehicle.
